A = We are consistently very strong in this area
B = Generally, we do well in this area with just occasional problems
C = We are definitely weak in this area. Our problems are ongoing
D = This is a major problem for us
F = We are not doing well in this area at all and we don’t know what to do to improve
- ____ Mutual respect (i.e. listen, no name calling, etc.)
- ____ Compliment each other often
- ____ Share similar interests
- ____ Don’t threaten to leave the relationship
- ____ Talk through issues respectfully and without arguing
- ____ Get input before making major decisions
- ____ Support each other’s goals and dreams
- ____ Consider the other’s feelings
- ____ Feel lost when s/he is not around
- ____ Find one another attractive
- ____ Openly discuss your thoughts and feelings
- ____ Find it easy to believe what s/he says
- ____ Avoid blaming one another
- ____ Do not blow up when angry
- ____ Make him/her prove their love for you
- ____ Make him/her responsible for your happiness
- ____ Keep your promises
- ____ Try to see the other’s point of view
- ____ Show affection (i.e. hugs and kisses)
- ____ Accept him/her as they are without trying to change them
